Background

Linda M. Ferguson is the Associate Director in the office of Institutional Research.  Before moving to the office in 2002, she worked at ISU as an Institutional Computing Consultant; Assistant Registrar and Associate Registrar.  She received her B.S degree in Business Administration and M.B.A. degree from Indiana State University.  With thirty years of management information systems experience at ISU, she is a resource for most University data projects, ranging from admissions to HR to student information.

Position Specifications

  • Responsible for design, development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of computer applications relating to federal, state and institutional IR reporting
  • Lead the student data warehouse implementation team to define and verify data, design dashboards, provide specifications for custom modifications and vendor work orders, develop roll-out materials, and train users
  • Serve as data liaison to Indiana Commission for Higher Education
  • Work with other offices to identify data needs and make recommendations for data collection and presentation.
