Welcome to the Indiana State University Self-Study website for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). ISU has been accredited by the HLC since 1915. We retain our affiliation with NCA through an extensive self-study followed by an on-campus re-accreditation review. This decennial self-study and review ensure that our programs meet national recognized standards. ISU will undergo its next comprehensive visit by NCA during the 2010-11 academic year.
The NCA self-study will include two primary components. The first is documentation of evidence that ISU meets the five core criteria of the HLC. The second component is a special emphasis self-study focused on community engagement and experiential learning. This part of the self-study is a forward looking document focused on continuous improvement and development of strategies to advance the institutional mission and vision.
As new information regarding the self-study becomes available it will be posted on this site. Please check back frequently for updates.
