Indiana State University's Board of Trustees has approved a revised mission statement and value statements that reflect a commitment to research, public service and a well-rounded education. The statement was developed by a committee of faculty, staff and students chaired by C. Jack Maynard, Indiana State's provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Development of the mission statement and accompanying value statements, also developed by the committee, is a critical component of preparations for re-accreditation of the university by the North Central Association on Accreditation and School Improvement.
