Background

Patricia J. McClintock is the Director of Institutional Research, with over 20 years of institutional research experience.  She has previously held the positions of Interim Director of Institutional Research and Assessment; Senior Associate Director for Strategic Initiatives; Associate Director for Institutional Effectiveness; Assistant Director for Testing; Testing Associate; and graduate assistant.  She is the coauthor of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and case studies on institutional research, strategic planning, project management, recruitment planning, and higher education and regularly presents at state and national institutional research, strategic enrollment management, and information technology conferences.

Position Specifications

  • Oversight of data collection, integration, and analysis for institutional reporting functions including retention/graduation, faculty workload and productivity, accreditation, strategic planning, and student success.
  • Program manager for campus-wide federal, state, and internal analysis and reporting (HEOA, CHEDDS, IPEDS). Manage staff efforts in producing federal, state, and campus-wide reports and studies (DOE, ICHE, HLC). Oversee campus-wide efforts in data gathering, analysis, and reporting (NSSE, US News, Delaware Study). Manage staff and campus stakeholders in serving as a clearinghouse for external reporting for the university.
  • Manage the work of others to complete studies, analysis, reports, and various projects as assigned by the President and Chief Strategy Officer.
  • Serve as backup to the Chief Strategy Officer. Support the strategic planning process via management, data collection, and tracking of the Strategic Plan Benchmarks, the Board of Trustees Dashboard, and the ICHE Dashboard and by providing analysis, research, and project management. Program manager of strategic planning effort of the office.
  • Oversee integration and maintenance of IR relational databases and reporting software that can facilitate executive staff and IR research needs (IR, iStrategy, Banner, Argos). Manage the development of a series of management reports to facilitate executive decision making and to keep the campus informed (departmental profiles, dashboards, Factbook). Support informational needs about the institution for public/external stakeholders.
  • Undertake change management necessary to perform in a reduced-resources environment. Manage 1-, 3-, and 5-year goals of the office's strategic plan.
