Preparing for the Future
The Preparing for the Future committee is responsible for documenting and reviewing evidence that ISU’s allocation of resources and its processes for evaluation and planning demonstrate its capacity to fulfill its mission, improve the quality of its education, and respond to future challenges and opportunities.
Specific charges of the Preparing for the Future Committee include:

Review the Core Components of Criterion Two and review current ISU data and information to determine what
evidence exists to demonstrate compliance with the core components and areas in which additional evidence
needs to be gathered.

Review any concerns about resources, planning, etc, expressed in the last NCA visit report and determine what
steps have been taken to address concerns.

Conduct a preliminary review of current evidence (or lack thereof) and identify major issues or
questions that need to be addressed quickly for the University to be able to be compliant with the core
components.

Identify additional questions or areas of inquiry within Criterion Two that could benefit the
University if addressed by the committee as it prepares for the NCA visit.

Prepare updates on progress for the Accreditation Leadership Committee meetings and prepare a phase
one report that addresses charges by March 1, 2008.
