Accomplishments
2002-2003
- This past year we have developed several sites to be used
in support of reporting. Among the greatest accomplishments is
our integration of the individual faculty annual report (IFAR),
a public relations notification system, and the annual reporting
process. Each of these should be considered a major accomplishment
although they are a bit ahead of their time in that we are still
struggling to get faculty and chairs to use them. We also completely
redesigned the OSPIRE website that not only makes it easier for
users to locate data, but is used as a central portal for associated
reporting sites.
- We have divided the workload and productivity reports into
two separate entities. The Instructional Load report was moved
so that we now are using BANNER to get the data. There are still
some issues to be resolved, but moving this over was a real accomplishment
for future management of the data.
- A Program Review site for departments was developed to provide
Chairs and Deans with information commonly needed for accreditation
purposes.
- The academic and administrative annual report sites have been
further refined and data from previous submissions are provided
on the web to help departments remember their goals and objectives
from previous years and to continue engaging in self assessment
and improvement.
- IR staff have been active in trying to inform those in institutional
research of accomplishments at Indiana State University. Presentations
have been given at AIR, INAIR, and the Assessment Institute,
and an article will have been published in Research in Higher
Education by the end of the Summer.
- OSPIRE Staff have been able to continue providing ad hoc reporting
and conducting a variety of surveys and other reports, including:
Financial Impact report
Productivity report
Residential Survey
University Apartment Survey
Health Center Survey
Distance Education Survey
Learning Community
Senior Survey
First Year Experience Survey
Freshman Profile
Distinctive Identity Survey
