Accomplishments

2001-2002

  1. Designed process that encouraged all units on campus to begin the process of continuous improvement through establishing a vision, examining best practices, engaging in self-analysis, and setting goals.


  2. Developed and implemented a web-based system for inputting information that will reduce institutional effectiveness burden for departments.


  3. Produced various institutional research briefs and studies on topics of interest to the institution.
  4. Staff continued to produce at a high level even though three new people were hired this year and one veteran is out on maternity leave.


  5. Guided the successful effort to develop an institutional identity for Indiana State University. This effort included planning and holding a successful retreat and soliciting feedback from various sectors of the campus.


  6. Terry Ishitani developed a longitudinal approach to assessing drop out behavior among first generation students by examining the time-varying effects of pre-college characteristics.
  7. Calculation of departmental SCH targets.
