Accomplishments
2001-2002
- Designed process that encouraged all units on campus to begin
the process of continuous improvement through establishing a
vision, examining best practices, engaging in self-analysis,
and setting goals.
- Developed and implemented a web-based system for inputting
information that will reduce institutional effectiveness burden
for departments.
- Produced various institutional research briefs and studies
on topics of interest to the institution.
- Staff continued to produce at a high level even though three
new people were hired this year and one veteran is out on maternity
leave.
- Guided the successful effort to develop an institutional identity
for Indiana State University. This effort included planning and
holding a successful retreat and soliciting feedback from various
sectors of the campus.
- Terry Ishitani developed a longitudinal approach to assessing
drop out behavior among first generation students by examining
the time-varying effects of pre-college characteristics.
- Calculation of departmental SCH targets.
